The Grapevine Newsletter Vol. 1, 1.3.19

Dear Holy Trinity Families,
As we start a new year, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all our students and staff members who contribute to making Holy Trinity School a vibrant center of intellectual, cultural, sporting, and above all else, spiritual activity that it is all year round.
A new year always ushers in the sense of renewal–a renewal of purpose and collective commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, reflection and service to our community. With this comes the firm resolution to achieve desired results and meet  challenges.
I am enthused by the many exciting changes that are in the pipeline, all of which are intended to meet the spiritual and academic educational needs of our students and community stakeholders and support the further development and advancement of our school in the Lakes Region.
We are actively pursuing opportunities to develop new connections in the community through family outreach and enrollment initiatives, as well as expand existing curricular opportunities to ensure we are meeting our students’ academic needs with efficacy and a watchful eye on individualized instruction.
We have also been channelling our energy into the renovations of Sacred Heart school at 19 Gilford Ave. as the new home of Holy Trinity School.
While preparing to move in this summer, we must keep focused on our mission of serving as ministers in the fashion of Jesus by welcoming new students, embracing one another as Catholic servants and leaders, and working together to ensure the many changes we have ahead of us are met and completed through our shared efforts. For we view this not only as a demonstration of our commitment to maintain very high standards and engage in continuous quality improvement but also as an investment towards enhancing the academic and spiritual instruction we so carefully prepare and deliver for our students and families. .
Within a challenging financial context, we remain firm in our drive to build a more robust and sustainable school with the renovations and move up the road. I am pleased to share that we were moving forward due in no small part to the generosity of our families who support the school, our Endowment Trust, and the Diocese of
Fundraising has been pivotal in our pursuit of moving locations so we can keep Holy Trinity open in Laconia, and your efforts, support, and financial gravitas by which this project has been undertaken speaks volumes to the historical, spiritual, and traditional importance HTS plays in the community.
We have a number of big fundraising events coming up: the HTS School Auction and Dinner and the Annual Golf Tournament. Both events require our families’ support and time to ensure their success--it is a profound blessing to know we have such a
wonderful group of parents who will rally together and help us make these two events successful!
While the past year tested us in many ways, as a community, we have remained resilient and we are forging ahead with renewed vigour to achieve our strategic objectives and to continue to grow together in Christ’s love and grace!

Happy New Year, and again, thank you for all you do to help make HTS a success for our scholars!

Sincerely in Christ,
Dr. Young
